As the Director of UX Research at Copperleaf in Vancouver, Karyn led and supported user research initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement. She collaborated cross-functionally with design, innovation, product management, customer success, and market development teams, ensuring a holistic approach to user experience. Karyn also co-led and facilitated a technology roadmap working group, resulting in consensus-driven initiatives for enhanced product UX.
As the Founder, CEO, and Innovation & Digital Strategist of Analytic Design Group Inc (ADGi), Karyn established the first UX consulting company in Vancouver, expanding with a second office in Seattle. She cultivated a diverse client base, including notable brands such as AT&T, Adobe, Samsung, government entities in BC, and numerous small businesses. Here, Karyn led a team of 14 researchers and designers across two offices and influenced positive changes to mobile devices for AT&T and various other brands, improving usability and applications.
In addition to their professional achievements, Karyn has significantly contributed to teaching and mentorship. She was also an instructor for several years for the Interactive Design program at Capilano University, where she developed and delivered a comprehensive two-semester course.
